Keep the
Ball rolling

Keep the Ball Rolling is a not-for-profit European sport initiative co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme 2021–2027 (ERASMUS-SPORT-2024). Running from December 2024 to May 2025, the project unites 7 partner organizations from 6 countries in a common mission: to promote sports, healthy lifestyles, and inclusion for all generations, while building a sustainable network of basketball veteran clubs across South Eastern Europe.

Our mission

The project uses basketball as a tool to:

  • Build a more inclusive sports culture open to all backgrounds and age groups.

  • Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): Partner organizations commit to a common vision and collaboration framework.
  • Strategic Collaborations: Establishing a management structure, operational guidelines, and long-term development strategies.
  • Digital Innovation: Development of an Open Access Application to connect the wider sports community and ensure continuous engagement.

Community Engagement

Beyond tournaments and workshops, the project will engage local communities by:

  • Organizing information sessions in schools and organizations to encourage youth participation in sports.
  • Hosting presentations with local sports clubs, associations, and authorities to promote inclusive, high-quality physical activity.
  • Supporting public awareness campaigns about the benefits of sports for all age groups.
  • Aligning with national, regional, and local sports strategies to maximize long-term impact.

Why It Matters

Keep the Ball Rolling is more than basketball – it is a movement for health, inclusion, and unity. Through tournaments, workshops, and community activities, the project promotes tolerance, diversity, ethics, and reconciliation while encouraging active lifestyles at every age.

Together, with more than 1,500 participants, 300 youth and persons with disabilities, and 7 partner organizations, we are building a stronger, healthier, and more connected South Eastern Europe.
